Clickless Tracking

The process of measuring brand influence and attribution when an AI model provides an answer based on your data without a referral click.

For example, since you can't track a click, you monitor "Branded Search Lift" (people searching for your brand specifically after seeing it in an AI answer) or use LLM-specific UTM parameters in the citations that do appear. Clickless tracking is also a model being developed by affiliate tracking to reward based on influence that a piece of content has been seen prior to purchase.
