An LLM (Large Language Model) is a type of Artificial Intelligence trained to understand, generate, and manipulate human language.
LLMs are the "engines" behind tools like Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude.
Large: have a huge memory filled with almost everything ever written (books, websites, articles). It also has billions of "mental maps" that help it figure out how one idea leads to another.
Language: While a normal calculator is great at math (2 + 2 = 4), it is great at "word logic." It understands that if you say "The sky is...", the next word is probably "blue," not "sandwich."
Model: This is the blueprint. It’s the set of rules it uses to mimic how humans talk. It doesn't "know" things like a person does; it just follows a very complex map of how sentences are usually built.
